Nicholas is a Ph.D. student in economics at UCLA. His research focuses on the economics and politics of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, including the impacts of research progress and diffusion and the geopolitical implications of international competition in AI development. He is a 2022 Global Priorities Fellow at the Forethought Foundation and received a BA in economics and Russian from the University of Pennsylvania.
