Christina Qiu is a PhD student in Economics at Yale University and does research at the intersection of trade, development, and macroeconomics. She is interested in the role of digital technologies in the management of spatial risk. During her PhD, Christina received the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (2020-2025), the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (2022-2024), and Cowles Foundation’s Arvid Anderson Prize Fellowship in Economics (2024-2025). Prior to her PhD, she graduated from Harvard College in 2019 with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics. As a recipient of the Clarendon Fellowship, she received an M.Sc. in Global Governance and Diplomacy from Oxford University in 2020.
