Damian Saccocio, Ph.D. is the Strategic Partnerships Lead at MIT FutureTech (CSAIL/MIT Sloan) and an Adjunct Professor of Technology Strategy at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. At MIT, Dr. Saccocio leads collaborative research and policy initiatives across the Lab's workstreams including AI scaling laws, compute economics, environmental footprints, and the labor market impacts of automation and AI agentic systems. Previously Damian held a variety of product and strategy roles at AOL, co-founded several technology-based startups, and served for ten years as a CTO; he began his policy career at the US National Academies as the first Staff Officer for the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board, directing the foundational study Computers at Risk. Dr. Saccocio holds an Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering from Ohio State University, an M.S. in Political Science from MIT and a Ph.D. in Management.
