Research Scientist

Wensu Li is a Research Scientist at the MIT FutureTech Lab. Her research focuses on the economic implications of technical change, with particular interest in labor markets, automation, and the deployment of AI technologies. Her recent work explores topics such as partial vs. full automation, and the cost-effectiveness of computer vision systems, and large language models.

Prior to joining MIT, Wensu was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Trinity College, Hartford. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Connecticut. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, both from Sun Yat-sen University.
